Growing Region: Africa
Altitude, soil and climate varies quite a bit between the different African coffee producing nations. With Ethiopia being the origin of Arabica coffee it has a distinct boldness and make it a favourite player in many coffee bean blends produced.
On its own you can taste that rich flavours unmasked. The rest of the continent does not stand back either, with Burundi, Uganda, Rwanda and Kenya producing coffee of exceptional standards.
Coffee production in Africa is however not limited to the main producing countries, if you are lucky you can find beans from Zambia, Zimbabwe and even South Africa.
